The new Artemis Fowl book comes out sometime in August, right? I actually really do love that series. I remember I found the first one in a library or bookstore or something and was like “oh so this is alright.” Then I read the next two and was hooked.
Anyway four was wonderful and five was different but still good and six felt kind of all over the place to me but in all I enjoyed it. So I want the new one.
Also Eoin Colfer’s standalone novels are really good. Read The Wish List and The Supernaturalist and Half-Moon Investigations.
What a nice Tumblr you have! Thanks for following me. I like being "followed" by strangers. It makes me happy that something I've posted has caught the attention of a complete stranger and intrigued them enough to want to see more things from me.
I'll follow you right back and look forward to more silly photos and Buffy themed updates.
I realise that I've not asked you one question in this whole "Ask me anything box", but did you realise how difficult it is actually is to communicate with other Tumblr users? Oh look, I did end up asking a question!
Anyway, nice to be acquainted with you.
<3 Thank you for your kind words, sir.
You know I completely did not intend this blog to have any sort of Buffy theme but I am Whedon obsessed. Glad you enjoy it, at any rate.
In answer to your question—man I feel so awkward when people ask questions on their blogs and I want to answer but I’m don’t know the person well enough for it to feel natural. Tumblr is that mysterious foggy zone between being facebook friends and being an anonymous commenter on some news article.
-work like a nerdy dog to save up for WhedonFest in October [holy fuck I need to get on this if I can’t go I will be hyperbummed]
-learn to knit and decorate cakes and apparently magic the gathering has been added onto the list for some reason? [Space cake! But no knitting or MtG yet]
-get this story of out plot outline phase and start writing the actual scripts [yeah well I’ll do it on the plane]
-watch Angel [oh, hey, progress. I’m almost done season one of five.]
-find some way to get a 101 in vocals so I don’t feel like an idiot when I try out for the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL [need to make another appointment I suppose]
-read novels, plays, short stories, articles [Done HDM, and A Spot of Bother. <3]
-write novels, plays, short stories, articles [mermaid story’s coming along]
-towards the end of the summer I should work on making the lit mag less shitty than ever (more and better advertising, more pages and a larger run, less shit falling through at the last minute) [well it says towards the end of the summer for a reason]
It’d help if more of my goals had finite tangible end points instead of vagueness but oh well.
"There’s just so much you have to work through. Trust has to build again, on both sides. You have to learn if you’re even the same person you were, if you can fit in each other’s lives. It’s a long and important process and…can we just skip it? Can you just be kissing me now?"
-work like a nerdy dog to save up for WhedonFest in October [chip truck hasn’t happened yet, boo. I need to work on this mofo.]
-learn to knit and decorate cakes and apparently magic the gathering has been added onto the list for some reason? [Fondant! I’m going to cross that off just because I got to play with fondant.]
-get this story of out plot outline phase and start writing the actual scripts [haven’t touched it in weeks, daaang]
-watch Angel [haven’t finished the last two episodes of Buffy yet, maybe I’ll do that today]
-find some way to get a 101 in vocals so I don’t feel like an idiot when I try out for the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL [started on this, yay]
-read novels, plays, short stories, articles [almost done His Dark Materials, but I’ll leave this one up as it’s ongoing]
-write novels, plays, short stories, articles [working on a short story about mermaids; it’s for a thing]
-towards the end of the summer I should work on making the lit mag less shitty than ever (more and better advertising, more pages and a larger run, less shit falling through at the last minute) [started talking with layout girl about this, so that’s good; maybe make a sublist of things for the litmag (I feel obligated to make my school suck less)]
Ha ha ha only one thing done. I am just a terrible person.
“I think people believe in heaven because they don’t like the idea of dying, because they want to carry on living and they don’t like the idea that other people will move into their house and put their things into the rubbish.”—The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, Mark Haddon (via fuckyeahliteraryquotes)
